On a beautiful spring morning, I gathered these little yellow flowers while walking along the headland.

Back in the studio, I was drawn to the contrast between the clear yellow blooms, deep green foliage and cooler lilac and pale blue surrounding them. I painted the arrangement with loose brushwork to keep it lively and full of movement.
