Invigorate

On a trip to Nana Glen, I visited Petal N Vine Flower Farm and came home with these glorious orange ranunculus and delicate feverfew.

The brilliant orange had such energy. I wanted to hold onto that feeling in the painting, setting the large blooms against the smaller white flowers and cooler grey-lilac background. Loose brushwork and the fallen petal give the arrangement a lively, slightly untamed quality.
