Banksia with Blue Stripes

A small botanical still life with deep green leaves, a pale Banksia form and bold blue stripes.

I was drawn to the contrast between the soft rounded Banksia and the strong striped background. The loose brushwork keeps the piece feeling fresh and direct, while the greens and blues give it a crisp, contemporary feel.
